Polysulphides can be determined in non saline waters by titration with mercury(II)
solutions. Sulphides, thiosulphides, sulphites and thiols interfere in this procedure [663].

Sonne and Dasgupta [664] have determined polysulphides, sulphate, sulphite and
thiosulphate by simultaneous photometric flow injection analysis.
