Only BI Publisher needs to be checked in the
Conigure Components
screen.
Before installing Business Intelligence Publisher, you must run the
Repository
Creation Utility
(
RCU
). RCU creates the
BIPLATFORM
schema to support
Oracle
Business Intelligence Enterprise Edition Plus
(
OBIEE Plus
). In RCU, specify the
preix for this schema; the default value is
DEV
for development, but you can change
it. This is a pre-requisite from Business Intelligence Publisher version 11. At the end
of a successful installation, the BI Publisher Server should be up and running.
The following screenshot shows the main screen from BI Publisher; this screen is
used to create your report layout:
To use BI Publisher as your report server, you need to conigure the Report
Printing parameters.
Logging in to the administration site of Application Express is required
(
http://hostname:port/apex(DAD)/apex_admin
). Navigate to instance
settings and enter the required data.
Select
Manage Instance
or
Instance Settings
and click on the
Report Printing
tab.
