A number of Gina gaskets are available off-the-shelf. In selecting the
appropriate Gina gasket, the following need to be considered with regard
to its movement capacity:
• Force-compression characteristics
• Modiication of the seal characteristics over time due to creep and
relaxation
• Initial and overall compression
• Effect of local tolerances
• Residual compression capacity required once all other effects have
been taken into account
