Travel Insurance
Ifyou'replanningonspendingtimeandinvestingresourcesinCambodia,it'sagoodideato
have insurance that will cover you for medical necessities and emergencies, evacuation, and
maybe even for property if you own valuable furnishings. A recent newspaper article told
the story of an expat living in Cambodia who had a heart attack and discovered her insur-
ance had run out. Her family was doing all they could to raise money to get her back to her
homeland as she was unable to afford it herself, but in the meantime, she was stranded and
helpless.
This is an extreme case but it brings home the importance of being covered by insurance.
