In-Depth Information
One of the best resources in the country is the Cambodian Parents' Network (see “ What to
do when you first arrive ”) - as you'll receive emails from people in the group who post
notices about places to rent or sublet, mostly in Phnom Penh.
There are a number of websites which post notices about homes and apartments to rent
(foreigners can only buy apartments if they are above the first floor). They include Expat
Advisory, Khmer440, Cambodia rental classifieds, Bongthom, and the Phnom Penh Post
classifieds.

want to live and look out for “For Rent” signs. BKK1 is the area where most expats live
and it tends to be a little higher-priced that other neighbourhoods. We chose to live slightly
outside BKK1, as it gives us more of a local flavour, yet still provides access to everything
we need.
