Attractions
Before moving to Cambodia, I lived in London, New York, and San Francisco - and often
felt overwhelmed by the number of attractions, shows, events, festivals, and activities to do
every day of the week.
Cambodia, for me, is much easier. While there may be a shortage of cultural attractions, it
suits me fine to have a choice of 10 - 15 things to choose from each week, instead of select-
ing from 100 or more.
First, there are the obvious ones, which most people do within their first few weeks. The
harrowing, yet fascinating, tours of the Killing Field and Tuol Sleng Genocide Museum are
usually on the list of things to do, not only for the tourist aspect, but more importantly, for
an insight into the psyche of these incredible people, many of whom have been to hell and
back in their lifetimes.
