If you don't care to travel by bus, there's the option of hiring a private taxi, which is cheap
by western standards and faster than the bus. A taxi to Kep costs around $40 and one to
Siem Reap will run around $70. The best way to find one is to ask your tuktuk driver (or
a hotel, if you don't have a local driver), as he usually has a friend who drives a cab. You
can also rent a private car, either with or without driver, when you want to go to areas that
aren't on the regular bus or taxi routes.
