7.6 Summary
In this chapter, you learned about the final MBean type presented in this topic: the
Model MBean. Model MBeans offer MBean developers management and configu-
ration capabilities that the Standard and Dynamic MBeans do not. These features
include configurable attribute caching, notification logging, and persistence.
The next chapter begins part 2 of this topic, which covers the agent layer of
JMX
. Chapter 8 presents a detailed discussion of the MBean server.
