Integrated CME GUI
Note: Cisco created Cisco Configuration Professional Express (CCP Express), which is a
similar GUI utility that is loaded into the flash of the router. CCP Express only focuses on
configuring basic LAN/WAN connections, firewall, and Network Address Translation
(NAT). It is not able to configure Unified Communications features.
When you initially open CCP, it prompts you to configure a community, as shown in
Figure 4-2.
A community is a group of devices you want to manage using CCP. Before you can add a
device, you must configure it with these four things:
Key
To p i c
Reachable IP address: CCP must be able to reach the CME router on the IP ad-
dress you specify.
Level-15 Username and Password: Use this administrative account to manage the
CME router.
Integrated HTTP Services: HTTP services enable the CCP utility to discover the
CME router.
Local Authentication for Telnet/SSH: CCP logs into the CME router to apply
configurations based on the GUI interaction.
Example 4-3 shows the configuration of a CME router to support CCP-based configuration.
