The once private collection features some of the most well-known paintings created by
artists from around the world, including Mistress and Maid, by Johannes Vermeer. Others
pieces include those done by Cimabue, Giovanni Bellini, John Constable, Thomas Gains-
borough, Rembrandt, and Anthony van Dyck.
The beautifully handmade French furniture that decorates the mansion hails from the 18th
century and there are also stunning oriental rugs and Limoges enamels.
The Frick Museum is open 6 days a week, Tuesdays through Saturdays from 10 am to 6
pm. It is also open on Sundays from 11 am to 5 pm. It is closed on Mondays and on many
public holidays.
