Broadway are largely considered to be representative of the most elevated level of com-
mercial theatre success in the world.
While some shows run limited productions, there are many that run almost continually,
year-round. Some of the most popular shows include The Lion King, Wicked, and The
Phantom of the Opera, The Book of Mormon, and so many more.
Tickets often sell out fast for the most popular performances, so it is important to consider
purchasing your tickets prior to your arrival in New York. Be sure to purchase tickets from
official sellers to ensure you're they're legitimate.
Traveler Tip: For cheap tickets, visit the TKTS Discount booths on the same day you are
planning to see the play. You can find the TKTS Discount booths right in the center of
Times Square (under the red steps) or else in Downtown Brooklyn (in 1 MetroTech Center
at the corner of Jay Street and Myrtle Avenue Promenade), the office at the MetroTech
center has a lot shorter queues!
