In-Depth Information
FIGURE 4.1 (a) Front and (b) back of the Arduino Uno board. The Arduino Uno has 14 digital
input/output pins (six of which can be used as pulse-width modulation (PWM) outputs, which
can be used for controlling power to devices), six analog inputs, a 16 MHz ceramic resonator,
a USB connection, a power jack, an In-Circuit Serial Programming (ICSP) header, and a reset
button. It contains everything needed to support the microcontroller; simply connect it to a
computer with a USB cable or power it with an AC-to-DC adapter or battery to get started.
