There are no full-sized parcours (golf courses) in Paris
itself, but there are almost 100 throughout Île-de-France.
Don't miss Golf Disneyland, part of the enormous
Disneyland Paris Resorts, about 32 km east of Paris:

Some of the private clubs, such as the exclusive Golf de
Saint-Cloud, have waiting lists of several years, and most
require recommendations. Fortunately, many are open to
non-members certain days of the week. In general, you
must bring the membership card to your own club and

Rollerblading and Skating
Rollers (rollerblades) are enormously popular. Pari Roller
(http://www.pari-roller.com) organises a Friday night
randonnée (outing) that sees up to 10,000 bladers cruising
the streets of Paris. Pari Roller staff guide bladers along
the routes and police, also on rollerblades, patrol traffic,
protecting the participants. Routes change and starting points
are announced in advance. The randonnée starts around
9:30 pm at the Montparnasse tower and usually follows a 25-
km course. Although it moves quickly, the route is long and
the event lasts until the wee hours of the morning.
The Sunday afternoon randonnée is a family-oriented and
beginners event, run by Rollers et Coquillages (http://www.
rollers-coquillages.org), starting near place de la Bastille. You
can also access the website of the Roller Squad Institute (http://
www.rsi.asso.fr).
For ice skating, try the place de l'Hôtel de Ville, which is
flooded and frozen in winter, making a pleasant rink.
Oriental Arts
Some 18 of the municipal sports centres offer yoga, and
almost all of them, some kind of martial arts training,
including aikido, jiu-jitsu, judo, karate and taekwondo. For
