radiofg.com). For social and activist groups and networking,

known venues:
Men's club: Le Club 18; 18 rue de Beaujolais 75001 (tel:
01.42.97.52.13). Timeless and still going strong, with music
and dancing until dawn on weekends.
Men's bar: Le Duplex; 25 rue Michel-le-Comte, 75003;
tel: 01.42.72.80.86. One of Paris' oldest gay bars, still going
strong, still cruising. Eclectic music, good drinks. Open
daily from 8.00 pm-2.00 am.
Men's bar: Quetzal; 10 rue de la Verrerie, 75004;
tel: 01.48.87.99.07. Completely redone and modernised,
this cruising bar has a dancing area and terrace. Open daily
from 5:00 pm-5:00 am.
Men's café: Open Café: 17 rue des Archives, 75004;
tel: 01.42.72.26.18. Great summer terrace at this trendy
café that is always packed, especially early evenings. Open
daily from 10.00 am-2.00 am.
Mixed bar: Le Mixer; 23 rue Sainte-Croix-de-la-Bretonnerie,
75004; tel: 01.48.87.55.44. A mixed crowd hangs out at
this popular Marais club-bar. Everyone is welcome daily
from 5:00 pm-2:00 am.
Women's bar: Unity Bar; 176-178 rue Saint-Martin,
75003; tel: 01.42.72.70.59. Lively billiards bar with a
definite atmosphere—cruising, excellent drink and fun
and games.
Women's disco: Le Rive Gauche: 1 rue du Sabot
01.40.20.43.23. A glittery dance hall from the '70s just off
boulevard St-Germain. Still popular, but weekends only.
