Libraries
There are hundreds of bibliothèques (libraries) in Paris;
there is at least one public library in each arrondissement .
Some libraries specialise in particular fields, there are even
some for children only, such as L'Heure Joyeuse at 6 rue
des Prêtres-Saint-Séverin, 75006. To obtain a library card,
bring identification and proof of domicile. Some libraries
may be open only from Tuesdays to Fridays; check before
going. In addition, each University of Paris section has its
own library for enrolled students, as does the American
University of Paris.
