INFECTION
TNFSF13B has been suggested as a gene influencing susceptibility to
Acaris infection in both our linkage analyses of STR marker data and in
our family-based association analyses of high density SNP data. To
further explore this candidate gene, we sequenced the exons and putative
promoter of TNFSF13B in 200 unrelated members that best capture the
founding genomes of the Jirel pedigree who had Ascaris egg count data.
