Chelsea Girl Killed Jimi Hendrix?
Devon Wilson was a beautiful, troubled fashion model best known for being one of Jimi
Hendrix's closer girlfriends—a member of his inner circle whom Marlowe had met in Los
Angeles during his flower child period in the late 60s.
Not long after they met, Devon Wilson plunged to her death out of a ninth floor window
at the Chelsea. It'd be easy to write her death off as just another casualty of the early '70s.
But her suicide, or murder, creates ripples that spread wider than her own life. It also adds
a new and telling piece of information to the puzzle surrounding the death of rock icon Jimi

MARLOWE WEST
In 1971, somebody pushed Devon Wilson to her death from a window at the
Chelsea Hotel. I don't know anything about who did it, but it was one of those

other girl was Devon Wilson. And Devon had been a girlfriend of Jimi Hendrix.
She was also supposedly the niece of Quincy Jones. 28
These girls stayed with me, Marquise, and Miss Mercy fora few days because
they had just come in from England. I was this boy from Long Island thinking,
“Wow, this girl is a model, she's going with Jimi Hendrix, and she's Quincy
Jones's niece!” I was young and overwhelmed by all of this fame.
But Devon Wilson was distraught. She told Marquise and me that just before
she came to Los Angeles from England, she had seen Jimi at this party. She made
him a cup of coffee and put a tablespoon of heroin in it. She said the only time
they were sexually intimate was when they were on heroin, which made Hendrix
