Fuchsia Gold's Mushroom Tea Parties
You may remember Fuchsia Gold from when she chased her male slave Nelson around the
lobbywithherwhip.ButFuchsiawasmorethanadominatrix,shehadanurturingside,very
Italian. For one, she brewed a mean cup of magic mushroom tea.

Fuchsia was such a unique person—when I met her, she had sort of a Boy George
look going on, with that hair cascading down the side, and she used to do her eyes
likecateyes,sortofpointedupattheends,andofcoursesheworelotsoflipstick.

Fuchsia was always in black, or maybe shiny stuff, leather or pleather. Heavy
makeup. She had that real East Village look.

When Fuchsia got into the profession of dominatrix, she would tease her hair up
with this goop called “Stiff Stuff.” Her hair literally stuck two feet up in the air,
and then from that high up it would begin to curl down. Sort of like Divine. Fuch-
sia was only in her early twenties, but she would get herself dressed up in the
complete S&M gear, with patent leather thigh boots and leather bustier. She even
had a whip she would carry around. She was a pretty good-looking girl, of Italian
descent with an Italian nose, but good looking with a very strong personality, very
intelligent and cultured. Some people did find her hot, and she had her sex appeal.
But she had this personality that was almost masculine—she was so tough.
She wouldn't take any shit from anyone. She spoke very forthrightly. As a
dominatrix, she used to make pretty good money. First she had been staying in a
prettysmallroom,butthenshemoveduptoabiggerroom,whereshewouldhave
these mushroom tea parties all the time. So we would all go up there and drink
her mushroom tea and smoke weed and drink booze, and have this completely de-
bauched evening. She would cook, making Italian dishes for her friends. She was
a very good cook.
She wouldn't talk about the dominatrix business very much. When she got off
work, she would get into casual jeans and a t-shirt and just hang out and be the
hostess. But when she went out to rock clubs, she was into pagan symbols and the
Goth look.
