Unusual for a great home, Osterley is complete with much of its original furniture, in ex-
cellent condition. The upstairs rooms and furnishings are dazzling. There are so many in-
teresting pieces that it's helpful to use the handheld audio-visual guide while touring the
house. There's also an interesting downstairs tour showing the life of Osterley's servants.
Osterley's grounds boast a huge, beautiful park and lake, perfect for picnics and long
walks. A Tudor stable block on the grounds survives from the 1500s incarnation of Oster-
ley.
