1620 date stone on the manor's south gable. A kitchen wing was added in 1730.
Late 19 th century restoration and remodeling work was directed by Lady Augusta Mostyn
for her son, Colonel Henry. The Colonel's son, Ieven Mostyn, inherited Bodysgallen in
1949. After a long period of decline, Ieven Mostyn's niece sold Bodysgallen in 1969. His-
toric House Hotels restored the property and opened it as a hotel in 1981. In 2008, Bodys-
gallen became the property of the National Trust.
