Don't miss
Petworth houses an internationally important art collection containing the National Trust's
finest paintings. It includes the largest collection of J. M. Turner watercolors outside Lon-
don's Tate Gallery. French, Italian, and Dutch Old Masters anchor the galleries along with
Neo-classical sculpture. Works by Van Dyck, Reynolds, Gainsborough, Zoffany and
Blake are also on display.
Not all the art hangs from Petworth's walls; Chippendale, giltwood, Louis XVI furniture,
