At Erddig, the tour begins below stairs with an introduction to the history of the estate's
staff. It is one of the few houses where visitors enter through the back door and see the great
house through the servants' eyes. Only after telling the story about Erddig's servants does the
tour continue upstairs to the home's lavish interiors.
