The National Trust of England, Wales, and Northern Ireland
A nonprofit organization that protects and operates more than 350 historic houses, gardens,
ancient monuments, and open spaces in England, Wales and Northern Ireland. Membership
provides free entry to National Trust sites in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scot-
land.
The National Trust for Scotland
Companion nonprofit organization that acts as guardian of Scotland's architectural, scenic
and historic treasures. Membership provides entry into National Trust sites in England,
Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
The Royal Oak Foundation
The American affiliate of the National Trust. Membership provides Americans free entry
into National Trust sites in England, Wales, Northern Ireland and Scotland.
English Heritage
A government-supported organization that protects and operates historic properties in Eng-
land and advises the British government on historic preservation. Membership provides
entry to English Heritage sites.
Historic Houses Association
Represents and supports 1,500 privately owned historic houses, castles and gardens
throughout the United Kingdom.
