from nonconcrete debris. The simplest plants, which put no or minimal
effort into the sorting of debris, are referred to as level 1 fixed plants [11].
This class of concrete-recycling plants achieves the lowest level in terms of
recycled output and separation quality. Level 1 plants are similar to mobile
plants in terms of the technology used and usually consist of a number of
simple crushing steps using either jaw or impact crushers (FigureĀ 4.3), fol-
