Getting There & Away
SAS ( www.flysas.com ) flies to/from Oslo directly in summer (three flights weekly) or via
Tromsø (once or twice daily) year-round. There are as many as 11 different tariffs; book
early to avoid paying the 11th least expensive.
Getting Around
Airport Bus The SAS Flybussen (Nkr50) connects with flights and runs between the air-
port and all of the hotels.
Bicycle Bicycles can be rented for between Nkr150 and Nkr300 from Poli Arctici (

02 17 05) or Basecamp Spitsbergen (
79 02 46 00).
Taxi Svalbard Maxi Taxi (
79 02 13 05) and Longyearbyen Taxi (
79 02 13 75)
charge Nkr100 to Nkr150 for the journey between town and airport.
