About 12km away is a Sami sacrificial site atop the 269m Tanahorn, with a wonderful
view over the Arctic Ocean. The 8km return walk begins 9km west of town, along the
gravel road towards the evocative abandoned fishing village of Store Malvik (20km west
of Berlevåg).

Getting There & Away
Buses run from Tana Bru (Nkr215, 2½ hours) and Båtsfjord (Nkr151, 1¾ hours) at least
once a day except Saturday. The run takes you by the spectacular, polychrome folded sed-
imentary layers in the Gamasfjellet cliffs, along the eastern shore of Tanafjord. Berlevåg is
also a stop on the Hurtigruten coastal ferry route.
