adding a few curves to what was a boring cube with parking-lot views, and renovated its
existing rooms. Its Arctic Menu
restaurant
(mains Nkr150 to Nkr312) merits a visit in
its own right. The hotel's
Pernille
nightclub generally has live music on Fridays and a DJ
most Saturdays.

One of
three excellent riverside campsites in Ovre Alta, 3.5km south of the E6 along the RV93 to
Kautokeino, Wisløff Camping was declared Campground of the Year in 2000, and it still
deserves the accolade. Readers too sing its praises.
