built in 1861 and each lays claim to be - here comes yet another superlative - 'the world's

Andreas Aagaard House HISTORIC BUILDING

building in town to be electrically lit.
Perspektivet HISTORIC BUILDING

1831, it houses a permanent photo exhibition illustrating Tromsø's history and mounts
quality temporary displays too. You'll find more early-19th-century timber buildings
around the centre, including a stretch of 1830s shops and merchants' homes along Sjøgata.

Blåst GLASS BLOWING

world's most northerly glass-blowing workshop to see the young team puffing their cheeks
and perhaps to pick up an item or two.
Art Museum of Northern Norway ART GALLERY

stmuseum shows mainly 19th-century to present-day sculpture, photography, painting and
handicrafts by artists from northern Norway.
