Norwegian tour operators offering activities and adventure expeditions are covered
throughout this guidebook - the page numbers listed in the preceding pages of this chapter
will take you to many of these operators. Although it is sometimes possible to simply turn
up and join a tour, we always recommend that you make contact in advance, especially dur-
ing the peak summer and winter seasons, to make sure that you don't turn up and find that
all available places have been taken or that the departures don't fit within your travelling
schedule.
International Tour Operators
Many companies outside the country offer adventure- or activities-based tours to Norway.
In most cases, tours are all-inclusive: the cost of your tour includes all accommodation, air-

you'll also be saving any money - as a general rule, you're unlikely to save much, if any-
