Getting There & Away
Air
From Bodø'sairport, southwest ofthe city centre, there are at least 10daily flights to Oslo,
Trondheim and Tromsø. Other destinations in northern Norway include Leknes, Narvik,
Harstad and Mo i Rana.
Boat
Bodø is a stop on the Hurtigruten coastal ferry.
Carferriessailfivetosixtimesdailyinsummer(lessfrequentlyduringtherestoftheyear)
between Bodø and Moskenes on Lofoten (car including driver/passenger Nkr568/158,
three to 3½ hours). At least one calls in daily at the tiny southern Lofoten islands of Røst
and Værøy. If you're taking a car in summer avoid a potential long wait in line by booking

Most days, at least one ferry calls in at the southern Lofoten islands of Røst and Værøy.
There's also an express passenger ferry between Bodø and Svolvær (adult/child Nkr324/
165, 3¾ hours) once daily.
