Getting Around
To/From the Airport
Flybussen (tickets Nkr90, 45 minutes) runs every 15 minutes from 4am to 9pm (less fre-
quently at weekends), stopping at major landmarks such as the train station, Studentersam-
fundet and Britannia Hotel.
Trains run between Trondheim Sentralstasjon and the Værnes airport station (Nkr64, 35
minutes, hourly).
Bicycle
As befits such a cycle-friendly city, Trondheim has its bike-hire scheme (Nkr70 per 24

borrow a bike from any of 12 cycle stations around town.
Car & Motorcycle

PARKING IN CENTRAL TRONDHEIM
At Nkr20 per hour, parking in the centre of town can quickly gobble up your holiday
money. However, during school summer vacation, Trondheim Katedralskole lets both
cars and campervans park in its playground for Nkr60 per day (7.30am to 9pm).
Check with the tourist office in case a different school takes it over.
Public Transport
Thecitybusservice,runby AtB ( www.atb.no , in Norwegian) ,hasitscentraltransitpoint
(all lines stop at or near it) on the corner of Munkegata and Dronningens gate. Buses and
trams cost Nkr30 per ride (Nkr70 for a day card). You'll need the exact change.
