Bistro To Kokker CAFE €
( 57 75 22 33; Strandgata 33; dishes Nkr106-130; 9am-10pm) This gloomy place
where ageing bachelors stare into their cocoa does well-priced fare and portions are large.
There's squid, salmon, monkfish and other seafood on the menu or, for more pedestrian
palates, it has fish and chips, burgers, good salads, pizzas and a changing dish of the day
(Nkr82).
Hjørnevikhagen CAFE, RESTAURANT
( 57 74 42 33; Strandgata 28; lunch mains Nkr70-135, dinner mains Nkr135-190;
Mon-Sat) The menu is short, unexceptional but reliable. You can eat outside on the
split-level terrace or within, with good views of the marina. Just behind the tourist office,
it's also a good spot for a quiet drink.
Drinking & Entertainment
Shamrock PUB
(Strandgata 58) There's little that is identifiably Irish at the Shamrock, apart from its
green-bordered bar menu, though they do keep bottled Guinness under the counter. Even
so, it's where the young folk of Florø head to sip a cocktail, down a beer, nibble on a snack
or let their hair down at the Saturday-night disco. It also shows all major football matches.
Churchill PUB
(Markegata 43) Just up the hill from the Shamrock, Churchill, which was undergoing an
elaborate facelift at the time of writing, is another Florø favourite.
