MIDNIGHT SUN MARATHON
A midnight marathon could only happen in Norway, and Tromsø is the place to try the
world's northernmost 42km road race (

EXTREME SPORTS FESTIVAL
Adventure junkies from across the world converge on Voss (

sic acts keep the energy flowing.
July
July is the peak tourist season throughout most of Norway with the year's best weath-
er and cheapest prices for hotels. Tourist sights can be crowded and we strongly re-
commend advance reservations for accommodation.
KONGSBERG JAZZ FESTIVAL

four days and pulls in some of the biggest international names. As it precedes the Molde-
jazz festival, this is a great season for jazz-lovers.
MOUNTAIN FESTIVAL
In early July, Åndalsnes hosts what could be northern Europe's largest gathering of moun-
taineers and rock-climbers, swapping stories and inching their way up the sheer cliffs. The

evenings.
ALL THINGS AQUATIC
In the second week of July, Fredrikstad takes to the water with its Glomma Festival (

), with bathtub regattas for seafaring wannabes and veteran sailing ship exhibitions.
