This is one of the loveliest B&Bs in Norway, with character-filled rooms
right by the harbour and friendly service; it's located in a former warehouse that was
shipped from Riga, Latvia, in the 1830s.
Getting There & Away
To reach Avaldsnes from central Haugesund, catch bus 8, 9 or 10 (Nkr42) from next to the
post office. Bus 10 continues further south to Skudeneshavn (Nkr65, 1¼ hours). There are
semiregular car ferries from Skudeneshavn to Mekjarvik (for Stavanger).
