1140) This modern hotel on the slightly elevated ledge overlooking town has comfortable
rooms, some of which have decent views of the fjord. The garden terrace with sweeping
views is a fine place to chill and there are children's toys for those with young ones. The
evening buffet (Nkr195) is good value.
Sæbø Camping CAMPGROUND €

equipped lakeside campsite has a pretty location in Måbødalen, just 500m from the Hard-
angervidda Natursenter. The owners promise freshly baked bread in the mornings and it's
worth hanging around near the kitchen simply to inhale.

Getting There & Away
Boat A daily ferry leaves Eidfjord at 2.40pm, bound for Norheimsund (Nkr260), where it
connects with buses to Bergen.
Bus Up to five buses daily run between Eidfjord and Odda (1¾ hours) and some continue
on to Geilo. In summer, a minibus service (Nkr100) operates between Tinnhølen lake/
