This charming
old timber farmhouse, around 2km east of the village centre and right by the fjord, dates
back to the early 1920s. The lovingly kept rooms are bright and comfortable and have
fjord views; four of the five rooms have shared bathrooms. As if you weren't already feel-
ing indulged, it also offers massages (40/90 minutes Nkr400/600) and facial treatments

of the best views in Hardangerfjord. There are no finer views in Ulvik than from the bal-

An excellent choice, by the fjord at the en-
trance to town, this well-run guesthouse offers very comfortable rooms, some of which
have balconies overlooking a bubbling stream. It's across the road from the water, but the
campsites and simple huts are right by the fjord. It also has a cafe serving home-cooked
meals using local produce, as well as sandwiches and pizzas.
