The tourist office can point you in the direction of hikes in the surrounding area, including
a 5km trail that takes you past four
fruit farms
in the hills above town; one of these,
the
Hardanger Saft og Suderfabrikk (Hardanger Juice & Cider Factory;

also produces apple cider.Visits tothe farms are
possible for groups, but ask the tourist office if you can tag along to a tour that's already
going.
The tourist office also has
bicycle hire
(half-/full-day Nkr100/150) and can arrange
water-skiing

EXPLORING HARDANGERFJORD FROM
ULVIK
Little Ulvik is a superb base from which to explore Hardangerfjord. The tourist office
hands out a terrific brochure,

lines a range of self-guided day excursions that take in much of Hardangerfjord by
boat, ferry and express boat from May to September. Options include the following:
