Voss Folkemuseum REGIONAL FOLK MUSEUM
The main portion of the Voss Folk Museum is the Mølstertunet Museum (Mølstervegen
143; adult/child Nkr50/free; 10am-5pm mid-May-mid-Sep, shorter hr rest of yr) ,
on a hilltop at the farm Mølster, high above Voss. The collection of 16 historic farm build-
ingsoncetypicaloftheregiondatesfrom1600to1870.Thereareguidedtoursonthehour,
every hour.
Dagestadmuséet MUSEUM
( www.dagestadmuseet.no , in Norwegian; Helgavangen 52; adult/child/student & seni-
or Nkr40/free/30; 11am-2pm Tue-Sun Jun-mid-Aug) This museum, located 1.5km
south of the town centre, was opened in 1950 by renowned local woodcarver Magnus
Dagestad (1865-1957) and features his lifetime of carvings, drawings and traditional
wooden furniture, as well as works by his wife Helena. It's an unusual and worthwhile ex-
hibit.

If slow boats up the fjords seem like a pretty tame response to extraordinary Norwe-
gian landscapes, Voss may be your antidote.

Paragliding, Parasailing & Bungee Jumping

is one of the most professional operators of its kind in Norway, offering tandem
paragliding flights (Nkr1500), parasailing (solo/dual flights Nkr575/950) and even
180m-high, 115km/h bungee jumps (Nkr1800) from a parasail! It claims to offer the
highest bungee jump in Europe. As its motto says: 'Be brave. Even if you're not, pre-
tend to be. No one can tell the difference'.
