Getting There & Away
Air
Bergen airport Offline map ( 67 03 15 55) is at Flesland, about 19km southwest of
the centre. Apart from international airlines ( Click here ), there are the following domestic
options:
Norwegian ( www.norwegian.com ) Flights to Oslo and Tromsø.
SAS ( www.sas.no ) Oslo and Stavanger.
Widerøe ( www.wideroe.no ) Tromsø, Bodø and other northern destinations.
Boat
The Hurtigruten coastal ferry leaves from the Hurtigruteterminalen ( Offline map ), south-
west of the centre, at 8pm daily from mid-April to mid-September, and from 10.30pm the

following operators offer express boat services:
Fjord1 ( 55 90 70 70; www.fjord1.no ; Strandkaiterminal) In addition to its tours,
Fjord1 offers at least one daily ferry from Bergen to Sogndal (Nkr570; five hours), with
some services going on to Flåm (Nkr665).
Flaggruten ( 53 40 91 20; www.flaggruten.no ; Strandkaiterminal) Twice-daily ser-
vices from Sunday to Friday to Haugesund (one-way/return Nkr510/625) and Stavanger
(Nkr750/950), with just one on Saturdays.
Rødne Fjord Cruise ( 51 89 52 70; www.rodne.no ; May-Aug) Summer express
boats from Bergen to Rosendal (adult/child one-way Nkr310/155, return Nkr470/235)
twice daily from Monday to Friday and once on Saturday and Sunday. It leaves just north-
west of Strandkaiterminal.
