Eating
Both the Hotell Greven and Quality Hotel have good restaurants; the former mainly does
Greek and Italian dishes.

ant lets you pick your monster of the deep (and some of the lobsters are so big they really

on the terrace or take away. At the time of research it was only operating as a restaurant on
sunny summer days, but it hoped to have an all-weather seating area operational soon.

Getting There & Away
Nor-Way Bussekspress buses pass through Larvik en route between Seljord (Nkr280, 2¼
hours, up to three times daily) and Tønsberg (Nkr115, one hour). For other destinations
along the coast, you may need to change at Tønsberg or Arendal. Local trains run hourly
betweenOsloS(Central Station)andLarvik(Nkr199toNkr277,twohours).Thetrainand
bus stations are side by side on Storgata.
Around Larvik
The low-lying Brunelanes Peninsula southwest of Larvik has a few moderately interesting
towns, though they are packed in summer with Norwegian holidaymakers, who flood the
coastal campsites.
