If you're starting to think Norwegian food is all about
burgers and pizzas, this absolutely sublime restaurant, with its modern take on old Norwe-
gian dishes, will quickly make you change your mind. The crayfish soup and lamb with
wild mushrooms are out of this world. Despite the quality of the food and the high prices,
the atmosphere is surprisingly laid-back. Book ahead.

Located in the bazaar
halls ofthe cathedral, Baltazar serves upsublime Italian classics with a thoroughly modern
twist. It's one of those places where the food is as much art as something to eat. There's
also a good wine list. During the summer (when the owners are in Lucca, Italy), the main
restaurant is closed and lunch is served at Trattoria Cappuccino, in the leafy courtyard be-
hind the cathedral.

Tuesday is Girls Beer Night and is something of a well-known lesbian get-together.
