In addition to the city and town maps throughout this guidebook, most local tourist offices
distribute user-friendly and free town plans.
Country Maps
Bilkart over Norge
(1:1,000,000) by Nortrabooks is one of the best maps of Norway for
general travellers. It includes useful topographic shading and depicts the entire country on
one sheet.
Michelin Norway - 752
(1: 1,250,000) is also good although the last update was
in January 2007 and the font size can be a problem.
Statens Kartverk (
www.statkart.no
)
, Norway's official mapping authority, covers the country in 21 sheets at a scale of
1:250,000.
