In-Depth Information
ccm-manager config: Enables the IOS gateway to download the configuration. After the configuration is downloaded, you
must associate voice ports with MGCP, as shown here:
dial-peer voice 10 pots
application MGCPAPP
port 1/0/1
The dial-peer voice number pots command configures a POTS dial peer.
The application MGCPAPP command then associates MGCP with the dial peer, and finally, the port port-number command binds a
voice port with the dial peer.
It is possible to configure the MGCP redundancy using the following commands:
ccm-manager redundant-host { ip-address | dns -name }: Enables you to configure the IP address or DNS name for one or
more backup CUCMs to use when the primary CUCM is unavailable.
ccm-manager switchback mode {graceful | immediate | never | schedule-time hh:mm | uptime-delay minutes }: Use this
command to specify how the MGCP gateway should switch back to the primary CUCM when it is available. Graceful mode
allows switchback when the last active call ends; immediate switches back immediately; never never switches back, as
long as the backup CUCM is up; schedule-time switches back at a specified time; and uptime-delay specifies how long the
primary must be active before switchback.
ccm-manager fallback-mgcp: Enables CUCM fallback (when CUCM is unavailable).
Other useful MGCP commands include the following:
mgcp dtmf-relay voip codec {all | low-bit-rate} mode {cisco | nse | out-of-band}: Can specify dual-tone multifrequency
(DTMF) - related parameters
ccm-manager music-on-hold: Enables MoH
ccm-manager music-on-hold bind interface: Binds the MoH feature to a particular interface
In CUCM, you can add an MGCP gateway by navigating to Device , Gateway .
