CUCM locations are associated with the configuration of CUCM regions. As previously described, CUCM regions can be used to
control the codec used between devices (within a site or between sites). Note that CUCM takes into account the Layer 3 overhead
when calculating the amount of bandwidth required for a call; so, for example, a G.711 call requires 80 Kbps.
You configure locations in Cisco CUCM Administration by going to System, Location and assigning devices to appropriate
locations.
Figure 2-3 illustrates the configuration of CUCM locations.
