MD md-num md-port: Message desk, message desk number (md-num, usually 001), message desk port (md-port, 0000 to
9999)
Fwd-Type: Indicates the forwarding type, D (direct call)
<0x20>: ASCII space
src-num: The number of the station from which the call originated (ANI)
<^Y>: Ctrl-Y
The format of SMDI messages with forwarded calls is as follows:
<CR><LF>MD md-num md-port fwd-type fwd-station<0x20>src-num<0x20><CR><LF><^Y>
The components of this SMDI message format have already been described, with the exception of the following:
fwd-type: As previously mentioned, this indicates the forwarding type, but in this case, the type will be A (forward all calls),
B (forwarded on busy), N (forwarded on no answer), or U (forwarded for unknown reason).
fwd-station: The RDNIS (original called party number).
SMDI Messages with MWI On/Off
The format of SMDI messages used with MWI on is as follows:
OP:MWI<0x20>stn-num!<^D>
In this case, OP indicates that an MWI should be turned on for the specified station number, and the <^D> (Ctrl-D) indicates the end
of transmission.
The format of SMDI messages used with MWI off is as follows:
RMV:MWI<0x20>stn-num!<^D>
