CAMPING
With the nearest year-round sites a good half-hour out of
the city centre, camping out of season in Stockholm can
prove rather inconvenient, though this being Sweden, both
sites listed are well equipped with modern service
buildings providing showers and laundry facilities. Pitching
a tent costs from 140kr per person.

EATING
Eating out in Stockholm needn't be expensive - observe a few rules and you'll manage quite well. If money is tight, switch
your main meal of the day to lunchtime, when on weekdays almost every café and restaurant offers an excellent-value set
menu, known as
dagens rätt
, for 75-95kr. For evening meals, don't assume that Chinese or Italian places will be the least
expensive; more often than not they're overpriced and serve food that's pretty tasteless. You're much better off seeking out
one of Stockholm's many Swedish restaurants, where you're likely to find an extensive menu of traditional fare as well as
some good international dishes. In fact, the culinary craze in Stockholm for French dishes with a hint of Swedish home
cooking is still going strong, and can lead to some surprising and delicious combinations.
