Renovating a Chicken Coop
Another relatively inexpensive way to create or change a chicken coop is to renovate a used
one or alter the one you already have. Reasons for altering an existing coop could be to add
more ventilation, provide more space for health reasons, or increase the size of a run to add
more area for chickens to exercise. You may also want to renovate an existing coop to make
it mobile. The budget for renovating a coop will depend on how extensive your renovations
will be. Be sure to look at the costs between renovating and purchasing or building a new
structure before you begin with your renovation.
