Parts of the Wing:
It is good to know the parts of a chicken's wing. They are a popular part of the chicken to eat
and it is good to know about the different parts that can get injured. First there is the wing
shoulder where the chicken's body joins with the wing. This is called the drumette when
you eat wings. There are a number of different types of feathers that cover this part of the
chicken. Then there is the mid joint of the wing, which is often called the wingette or flat
when you eat it. The wing tip is usually removed before you cook this part of the chicken. It
consists of long feathers known as the primary ones. These are the feathers that are trimmed
when you clip the wings of a chicken.
