Spot Light
The Spot Light derives its name from its real-world counterpart. This light shines from a single point in
space in one direction and has an angle that defines the area illuminated by the light. Like the Point Light,
the Spot Light has controls for Radiant Intensity, Falloff Type, and Radius. The Spot Light also controls the
angle of the cone from which the light is projected and the Soft Edge, which gives a slight blur at the edge
of the projection area (similar to the effects of a real-world spotlight). Figure 4-3 shows examples of Spot
Lights with different Soft Edge settings.
