Additional Procedural Textures
In addition to the basic textures covered in the previous section, modo ships with a group of visualization-
based textures labeled Bentley Procedural Textures and a more complex and varied group of procedurals
called the Enhance: modo Textures. These textures offer the ability to create a vast array of materials.
However, each of these textures relies on the same basic principles discussed in the previous section. In gen-
eral, control is given to two colors, alpha values, and Bias and Gain. By adjusting the numeric values in each
of these textures, you can create the look of water, tiles, metal plates, skin, and even digital readouts. Figure
3-19 shows a selection of these textures in action.
